Bulgarian lakes
Water lakes resources in Bulgaria are limited. The Natural lakes area around 300, they are small. Their total area is 95sq.m. , whish is 0,03% from the total area of the country. Their origin are coastal, river, ice and karst. The most important lakes dor water resources of the county are coastal and ice lakes.
Bourgas lakes

Pomorie Lake
Pomorie Lake is a hyperhaline naturally formed lagoon situated immediately to the town of Pomorie. It has a 70% salt content, four times that of sea water. It is separated from the Black Sea by a manmade dike and a sand bar. The lake’s surface area is 850 ha, but together with the surrounding wetlands it adds up to 1.000 ha.
